Okayama bridge (\u5ca1\u5c71\u6a4b, okayama bashi) was built in Iwamizawa city (\u5ca9\u898b\u6ca2\u5e02, iwamizawa shi), it&#8217;s the bridge that I watched today.Steel arch bridges <SPAN class=\"invisible\">(except stiffening arch)<\/SPAN> were built only 3, on pre war time in Hokkaido. Okayama bridge is one of it. It was national road No.12 in when opened, in 1969, national road change route and the bridge was a city road. It closed from 2008 by deterioration, but it wasn&#8217;t removed, it arrived at the 75 years old this year. The bridge has so history, but I heard to it will remove ultimately, so I&#8217;ll go to see the last days of the brige.<\/P>\r\n<HR class=\"pause\">\r\n<P><A href=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2011\/12\/23\/20111223141854DSC_0229l.JPG\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"colorbox\"><IMG src=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2011\/12\/23\/20111223141854DSC_0229s.JPG\" alt=\"20111223141854DSC_0229.JPG\" \/><\/A><BR>\r\nNOOOOOOOO! Not remove but repair. You startled me. It&#8217;s tied arch that tie end of arch rib. When repairing, the slab was removed completely, so it was rebuilt too. But arch rib is untouched quite.<\/P>\r\n<HR class=\"pause\">\r\n<P><A href=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2015\/05\/03\/20150503095708DSC_1140l.JPG\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"colorbox\"><IMG src=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2015\/05\/03\/20150503095708DSC_1140s.JPG\" alt=\"20150503095708DSC_1140.JPG\" \/><\/A><BR>\r\nMaterial that under road surface was repainted. Rivets are leave alone, I can&#8217;t find any bolts. It means didn&#8217;t change or add materials. It looks only remove rust and repainted. Why it was closing because no damage to the arch and here?<\/P>\r\n<HR class=\"pause\">\r\n<P><A href=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2015\/05\/03\/20150503101102DSC_1167l.JPG\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"colorbox\"><IMG src=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2015\/05\/03\/20150503101102DSC_1167s.JPG\" alt=\"20150503101102DSC_1167.JPG\" \/><\/A><BR>\r\nIt&#8217;s tied arch, so shoe transmits load perpendicularly.<\/P>\r\n<HR class=\"pause\">\r\n<P><A href=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2015\/05\/03\/20150503095406DSC_1134l.JPG\" target=\"_blank\" class=\"colorbox\"><IMG src=\"https:\/\/morigen.net\/blog\/image\/2015\/05\/03\/20150503095406DSC_1134s.JPG\" alt=\"20150503095406DSC_1134.JPG\" \/><\/A><BR>\r\nHowever, shoe of opposite shore inclinatory, and coagulated rigidly by conclete. It not not usually admittedly.
